Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:
Karen Lynn Serena, 36, of 38 Highland Ave. A301, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 4 with third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, second-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Jan. 4 at approximately 4:15 a.m. officers were dispatched to an address in Naugatuck for the report of a physical domestic involving a knife. Upon further investigation, police reported, it was discovered that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim which escalated. Police reported the accused charged at the victim with a knife. Police reported the victim was not harmed by the knife. Police reported the accused did cause minors injuries from scratching and hitting the victim. The accused was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 4.
Ronald Aviz, 56, of 48 Goodyear Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 4 with violation of probation.
Police reported on Jan. 4 at approximately 8 p.m. the accused turned himself in on an active violation of probation warrant. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 17.
Kenton Geghan, 51, of 50 Porter St., Watertown, was charged Jan. 5 with violation of probation.
Police reported on Jan. 5 at 12:35 p.m. the accused responded to the Naugatuck Police Department to turn himself in on an active, court-issued violation of probation arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 10.
Amnelis Arroyo-Morales, 26, of 101 Hitchcock Road Apt. 15, Waterbury, was charged Jan. 5 with second-degree failure to appear.
Police reported on Jan. 5 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $500 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 3.
Matthew Christopher Teixeira, 18, of 111 Ruela Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 5 with engaging police in pursuit, tinted auto glass requirements, reckless driving, traveling unreasonably fast and violation of readable/lost plates requirements.
Police reported on Jan. 5 at approximately 3:26 p.m. police attempted to stop a vehicle that was speeding on North Church Street. Police reported officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver failed to comply. Police reported the attempt to stop was terminated due to public safety. Through further investigation, police reported, the accused was developed as a suspect and was later taken into custody. The accused was released on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 11.
Jason Rodriguez, 19, of 599 Hill St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 6 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension, illegal possession of weapon in motor vehicle and improper number of headlamps.
Police reported on Jan. 6 at 12:30 a.m. officers conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of South Main Street and Salem Bridge. During the course of this investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of an electronic stun gun that was located inside the vehicle. The accused was released on a $500 non- surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 24.
Kyle Anthony Anders-Huculak, 22, of 143 Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 6 with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal trespass, sixth-degree larceny, criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Nisheida Smalls, 32, of 40 Ward St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 6 with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault and criminal attempt at assault of public safety or emergency medical personnel.

Davino, 51, of 117 Stillson Road, Waterbury, was charged Jan. 6 with second-degree failure to appear, failure to respond to infraction, interfering with an officer/resisting, criminal impersonation, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension, operating/towing unregistered motor vehicle, illegal operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, failure to display plates/inserts and improper use of marker, license or registration.
Police reported at approximately 5:18 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on South Main Street. During the course of the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused provided her sister’s name to the officer upon initial contact. Police reported the vehicle was unregistered, uninsured and was bearing incorrect registration plates. Police reported the accused provided the correct name, which revealed multiple active arrest warrants. The accused was held on a bonds totaling $725 and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 7.
Eric W. Gonzalez, 30, of 933 Rubber Ave. Apt. P, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 7 with violation of probation.
Police reported on Jan. 7 at 1:09 a.m. officers conducted a motor vehicle investigation on the Salem Bridge located on Route 63 in Naugatuck. During the course of this investigation, police reported, it was learned the accused, who was the operator of the vehicle, had a warrant for his arrest. Police reported the warrant was issued for the accused when he violated his probation. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Feb. 24.
Alejandro Tapia, 19, of 211 Wedgewood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 7 with second-degree failure to appear.
Police reported on Jan. 7 the accused turned himself in to the Naugatuck Police Department on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $2,500 court-set surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 8.
Haroldo Jose Dasilva, 81 Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 7 with violation of criminal protective order.
Police reported on Jan. 7 at approximately 3 p.m. the accused turned himself in on an active arrest warrant stemming from a domestic incident in which the accused was found to be in violation of an active restraining order. The accused was released on a $10,000 court-set bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 8.
Anferneeangelol Joseph, 23, of 20 Welton St. 1Fl., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 7 with sixth-degree larceny.
Police reported on Jan. 7 at approximately 7:34 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported the accused stole $108.46 worth of merchandise. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 24.
Shyton Martin, 23, of 1395 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 8 with second-degree threatening, third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree unlawful restraint, disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment.
Police reported on Jan. 8 at 12:30 a.m. officers were called to investigate an incident that occurred at a residence in Naugatuck. Through officers’ investigation, police reported, it was learned the accused poured beer on the victim, took her cell phone from her, slashed her vehicles tires, and restrained her from leaving the residence. Police reported the accused then called another victim and made threats involving the use of a firearm. The accused was held on a $20,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 8.
Jessica M. Lydem, 21, of 163 Wall St. Apt. 30, Springfield, Vt., was charged Jan. 8 with sixth-degree larceny.
Police reported on Jan. 8 at approximately 5:46 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Police reported the accused was observed concealing $84.72 worth of merchandise in her purse and coat. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 3.
Cristina Szewczyk, 42, of 303 Rawley Ave., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 8 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis.
Police reported on Jan. 8 at 9:13 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street. During the course of the investigation, police reported, the officer located narcotics on both the accused and inside the vehicle. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 24.
Michael Keith Robertson, 35, of 121 High St. Fl. 2, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 9 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Jan. 9 at 10:14 a.m. officers were dispatched to a neighbor dispute in the area of Fern Street. Police reported the accused threw trash at the neighbor’s guest and caused a scene. The accused was issued a misdemeanor summons and given a court date of Feb. 17 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court.
Rebecca E. Dube, 27, 738 Whitney Ave. Apt. 2, New Haven, was charged Jan. 9 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Jan. 9 the accused turned herself in on an active domestic arrest warrant held by the Naugatuck Police Department. Police reported the warrant was issued due to the accused having an argument with her family that escalated and became physical. The accused was released on a $1,000 court-set cash or surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 11.
Richard Allen Geddes, 25, of 27 Burger Road, Terryville, was charged Jan. 9 with evading responsibility-injury/property damage, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Police reported on Jan. 9 at approximately 6:29 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of 399 North Main St. on a report of an evading motor vehicle collision. Through the course of the investigation, police reported, officers located the accused to be parked at Cumberland Farms sleeping inside the vehicle. Police reported the accused was found to be operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 11.
Zander John Grandpre, 20, of 595 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 10 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Jan. 10 at about 7 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on in Naugatuck. Police reported it was determined that an assault had occurred. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 11.
