NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck High School senior Andrea Neagu is continuing her work to raise money for the Kids Wish Network by organizing a 5K “Race for the Wish.”

The race/walk will be held March 24 at the high school, 543 Rubber Ave., beginning at 10 a.m.

Neagu has been raising funds for the charity as part of her Senior Capstone Project. In November, she organized a volleyball and badminton tournament between students and faculty, which raised $1,000 for the charity.

The race/walk is open to the public. The entry fee is $20 through March 23 and $25 on race day. The fee for students is $10 and $5 for children 12 years old and younger. Minors must have an adult present to sign the permission form on race day. Awards will be given out for top male and female finishers in five different age groups.

Registration forms are available online at www.naugy.net, click on the Naugatuck High School link, or by e-mailing reillyt@naugy.net.

For more information or anyone interested in sponsoring the race or volunteering, e-mail Tim Reilly at reillyt@naugy.net or Andrea Neagu at brunette09@snet.net.
