SEYMOUR — Robert F. Derrah Jr., age 82 of Seymour, beloved husband of the late Micheline (Rouleay) Derrah, entered peaceful rest on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, in his residence.
Born in Bridgeport on Sept. 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Eileen (Doehla) Derrah. A retired carpenter for Summit Construction, Bob served his nation proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
An avid sportsman, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and skiing. Bob also enjoyed traveling around the United States, as well as abroad.
He leaves behind his devoted companion, Susan Patchkofsky of Beacon Falls; his sister-in-law Bridget Skudlarek of Trumbull; his nephew Jerome Skudlarek of Beacon Falls; his cousin Jack Derrah of Oxford; and extended family of Jed and Desiree Wyatt of Weathersfield, Vt., John P. Wyatt of Claremont, N.H., and Mary Beth Wyatt of Weathersfield, Vt.
Relatives and friends were invited to visit from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. Burial was to be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, it was Mr. Derrah’s wish to have memorial donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org/donate).
